Did anyone get to see the races ???
Please post a report about the races happened and respective pics of the cars.
I understand, it was a terrible experience you guys had.
Posting the timing chart table would only give the numbers not the story behind the numbers. Please do tell (if possible) how those cars in the table smoked other cars or got smoked by others, whats under their hoods, and how many of them were whacky or Q-cars or properly modded cars. I guess I make a sense. (A detailed report with pics is what I am asking).

It appears that one our bhpians got a VIP pass:

Well, the owner created far less hype than one of our other members who was taking it personally whenever anyone asked him to cool down & stop raving and let the car do the talking

Couldn't agree more........

Sad to hear but I wonder where the 850 bhp disappeared

who clocked best in the 1450 - 1650 the pro stock category on day one?
zen's and a modded padmini was the star of the show, giving all the big cars a run for their money.

How did it lose to the esteem? I guess it was overdone mods. Even in stock form a scooby should have been able to cream a MR2.

Maybe Varun can give some insight as to what happened.

Is that red zen KA regn 3888 Asif ahmed's car?

Cool pics!!

Some of the cars were beautiful..

Now even I want to take part in these races.

By the way do these guys check the speed at which the cars cover 1/4 mile??
I mean the timing is there...but can we know which car was at which speed when it crossed the finish line??

man. you guys are complaining about how tiring it was being a spectator! Heck, i am roasted and my skin is crispy to the touch after two 13 hour days in the sun!

Saturday was a total and utter mess as the hungama team who were supposed to have the track ready and clean by 7am were nowhere in sight at that time. When they finally showed up and started sweeping the lanes (which had medium size stones on it) we were already 2 hours late.

Add to that the delays caused by some village kids setting fire to a part of the barricading and other crowd related problems, coupled with a huge number of Indian bikes to run, meant that the delays just multiplied as the day progressed.

Sunday went of comparatively well, even though the backlog from Saturday had to be finished.

Anyways, first off, let me congratulate Psyco for taking the top 2 positions of the FI 1450cc class. Keshav took top honours (ET:15.846 RT:0.896 TT:16.742) with his teammate Vasu taking second (ET:16.761 RT0.735 TT:17.496).

Keshav further improved his time with a 15.635 ET on an unofficial run. However another Esteem running in the unrestricted class did a 15.000 ET. I'm sure Keshav could have matched that, but I guess he wants to leave some tricks for Bangalore eh

Memo got Mclarens Baleno to 6th position in the Pro-stock 1650cc class (ET:16.45 RT:1.066 TT:17.516)

Viper took his Vtec out on the strip as well. Finished 9th in the Pro-stock 1650cc class (ET.16.722 RT:1.222 TT:17.944)

My own runs on my bike in the upto 500cc class got me 5th in class (ET:13.955 RT:0.959 TT:14.914). I was also given the opportunity by an extremely kind gentleman who also is a member of this forum, to drive his Subaru WRX in the foreign cars upto 2000cc class. With no practice whatsoever, and only on talking to a few people, I was in 2 minds at first whether to drive or not, but then common sense kicked in and i figured when else would I get a chance to drive a WRX! I launched at about 6,800rpm, but the immense grip of the AWD Scooby coupled with a piping hot and grippy tarmac meant it still bogged down a bit, slowing my time to a ET:14.528 RT:0.895 bringing the total to an agonizingly lethargic 15.423 and 5th in class again! The class win was taken by KS's super NOS'd Evo7 with a brilliant run (ET:12.407 RT:0.927 TT:13.334), and Mihir was runner up in the famed black WRX (ET:14.185 RT:0.986 TT:15.171).

Mad monkey had a great run in his chipped RS. He finished 5th in his class (ET:16.199 RT:0.593 (awesome!) TT:16.366). The fastest RS was Neville Poonawala's with ET:15.145 RT:0.662 TT:15.807.

Bhushan aka Evo6 got a bad start on his final run and could only clock a ET:16.275 RT:1.159 TT:17.434. I believe his car was facing some overheating problems as well.

Will post the few vids I have of our guys launching ('cept for mine, as my battery died by the time my runs came!!).
