Amateurs' bike race at BigRock Dirtpark Bangalore

TRAIL ATTACK 2021 BACK AT BIGROCK DIRTPARK, FOR THE THIRD SEASON

11th and 12th of December 2021

Bangalore, Dec 1st 2021: BigRock Trail Attack is back, after three successful editions the much-loved amateur race competition is back in its fourth season. Conceptualized in 2018 by BigRock Dirt Park and PRO-5 Motorsports, the event offers amateur riders a chance to ride in a closed-circuit lap with professional guidance making them better riders and explore the far capabilities of the motorcycle.

The track is a 4-6 km loop which has a mix of flat gravel with Natural obstacles passing through a rough trail Course. The speeds are kept low to ensure safety while still being challenging through the terrain difficulties. Riders will be allowed 1-day free practice prior to the race day. Riding workshop will be conducted by the BigRock Trainers to ensure safety and build confidence in amateur riders.

Commenting on the event C.S Santosh, Director of the event said “Every international & many national motorcycle manufacturers have introduced off-road or Adventure category bikes in the Indian market. More riders are exploring the off-road riding culture. Trail attack fulfils the aspirations of many riders to experience a race weekend and compete with their peers. This platform is for amateur riders to pursue their interest in motorsports and hone their skills as a motorcyclist”

The event, when conducted for the first time in 2018 was open only for amateurs who had not raced or participated in any competitive event. In 2019 the event grew in popularity which led to the inclusion of the Professional Category. In 2020, the professional category was removed and for the first time ever, there was a kids exhibition class in which over 10 kids under the age of 12 participated and enthralled the crowds. The event has been keenly supported by Red Bull, Motul and Big Bad Bikes. All editions of the BigRock Trail Attack have been accredited by the Federation of Motorsports in India (FMSCI).


BIGROCK TRAIL ATTACK - THE FORMAT

It will consist of a 3-6 km of race loop inside the facility where riders will tackle natural obstacles on the track. The race will be a timed event for the following classes;

· Class 1 - Hero Xpulse

· Class 2 - Royal Enfield Himalayan

· Class 3 - KTM Adv 390 / BMW GS 310

· BigBikes Class - Triumph Tiger 800/1200, BMW GS 650/700/750/850/850/1200/1250, Ducati Multistrada 950/1200/1260, Honda Africa Twin, Ducati Scrambler

· Ladies Class – OPEN class

· Kids Class (Open to children upto 12 years of age) – EXHIBITION CLASS
