This is awesome for all F1 fans. Now the big quesiton. WHERE?

India awarded F1 race for 2009

I just cant wait for 2009. But its 2008 Singapore night race first!!

Finally it has happened and I'm sure a certtain Mr. Mallya has something to do with it. They havent mentioned the venue yet though. If there is an Indian GP from 2009, I know where a once a year trip will be that year onwards

Heh-heh, well said Dippy! In my case (and I'm being REALLY OPTIMISTIC here

), it would just be a 25-30 km drive to the track!!!

On a more serious note, Bernie is only one cog in the wheel, its the Govt that has to make the effort & be positive enough for this thing to finally see the light of day!

Wow thats an achievement! I wonder where this track will be? Considering that we take 3 years to build a flyover I wonder how much time constructing a track will take!

I absolutely love F1 racing and cant wait for it to come to India
Trust me I would be one of the first persons buying a ticket for the race
I hope it is a street circuit in Delhi or somewhere.

Where does Suresh Kalmadi come into the picture though? I thought he's president of the Olympic committee, what does that have to do with Formula One?
