Can we get details on if there is a championship running in india or not. And also, if it is cheaper than running the rally star class in the INRC!!!!

Im planning to enter an event in the future. And its purely for the fun factor.

With so many people complaining that track racing is expensive, you would think that low budget racing will be really popular.

But on the contrary, both the spec Esteem and the FISSME were always poorly contested and it was the more expensive modified classes that are popular. I think they have both been stopped now.

True. Even at the speedrun , I've been watching that there were very few contestants in the 800cc class that it was removed. And all the 1300cc class moved upto the 1500cc class that the 1300cc got empty. At the last blr speedrun, there were only 3 1300cc contestants which included Psycho's turbo esteem and Vasu's NOS'd esteem and a lone swift which got the last place in the podium just for participating .

But, Saloon racing has suddenly become the in-thing now. At the last saloon race at Kari, about a month back, there were 24 participants on the grid for the "cc-to-weight" class.
Infact, just last weekend, there was another saloon class race at Kari.

wanting to do something on the same line. Could you throw more light on the shoestring budget and how feasible is it for someone based in bombay?
