I am sure the other Universities offering courses in Motorsport Engineering also have similar pages, listing the motorsport teams that recruit their graduates.

Hope this helps. Wishing you the very best.

Thanks for the reply.

As a matter of fact I have gone through these links earlier and found them quite useful. But my main concern is getting employed after a course like this. Does anyone have first hand experience doing a course like this?

@Arvi95, I believe that recruitment after such a course will be strictly merit and own-initiative based and will not follow conventional placement / recruitment formats for other mainstream degree holders.

Just received this :

As this is a very limited interest career path for a young person, it would be very useful if the handful of people who finally go through with these courses could post their experiences here.

Hey guys, I also want to pursue motorsports as an engineer. Which country do you think is the best regarding job opportunities and job security?

Thanks for the reply. I agree completely that this is a highly specialised field, not the brightest career path for a young engineer like me, but my passion is what's pushing me into it. I just have to weigh the other options as well before I take a plunge into this. Hopefully others who have been in my situation could share their experiences here for the benefit of all.

Hi DDC,

As Arvi95 has already learned, this isn't a field for the faint of heart.

So, job security isn't what you should be looking for in motorsports ... and it's something you won't need, if you're demonstrably better than your peers in your work and results.

As mentioned previously, your preferred destination should be the UK.

Good luck, if you do decide to take the plunge.

Cheers,

Hey, bumping up an old thread, but I'm curious to know whether you did end up taking the Motorsports engineering course?
I'm looking at the same field or Automotive Engg. from UK, and wanted to know about placements and work permit.

Hey there!
So what course did you end up taking? Could you put some light on us?

3 years later I am also here to know about the experiences, also do let me know if you have got yours by this time.
