Love the idea...the more I read..the more fun it is.....
But for how long ...is this gonna take.....

I just finished a week long vacation.....Like TADU mentioned....if its gonna be more than a day....I got to paddle through troubled waters ....

Latest update is that KMS is free during 1st & 2nd weekend only, while MMST is free only on the 1st week. So guys kindly confirm soon. Given the time frame I guess 2nd week at Kari will be ideal. Now for the numbers.

Already confirmed:

1. Ajmat.
2. Tadu.
3. memo45_m.
4. mclaren1885.
5. Vikram_d.

Raaj, I am planning on a one day event. Maybe a Saturday or Sunday based on track availability and our convenience. Nothing more. So we leave to KMS early morning say about 4am. Reach the track by about 8. Go onto track at 9am. Have lunch at 2. Continue till 5 at which time the track will be handed over to the concerned. We can head back at about 6 and reach Bangalore late night.

Mr.Nooneissmarterthanme obviously we are going to take a break in between na. Its upto the individual on how long he wants to stay on track. My POA will be 20 laps at a stretch, get back, 15-20 mins rest and repeat the same thing about 4-5 times in the day. The plus point of having the whole track to yourself is you can get back into the pits when you want or go back out when you want.

Drive to CBE should take us about 4-5hrs depending on the speed. I would suggest the Bangalore-Krishnagiri-Mettur-CBE route than going through Salem. From Salem the road is under construction and broken in certain patches.

Yes! Concorde with speed limiter at 140kmph for further highway drives. Nitrous, binz and myself made it to bangalore in 5hrs from CBE when I went to pick up my car. And we mostly averaged between 100-120. Why does it come as a surprise to you ?

Rahul - I would like to join. I went thru the posts but am not sure if I understand this completely. Only thing I can make out is that it would be interesting. May be on this first track day, I will learn and will be able to understand, if not more, at-least what is being talked about. I have voted for first week of August.

Akbaree, the funda is very simple. We hire the track for a day. All our cars can go out on the track. All the beginners will be given a small crash course on how to drive, useful pointers etc. Then one of us will take you all out on a few laps just to get a hold of the racing lines etc. After that the track is all yours. Go fast, go slow, do anything but be safe. Respect your car and the nature of the track and it will do no harm to you. Bussss! Its this simple.

Starter of this thread is always known to make up his mind hours before we embark. Because of his ever so busy schedule he has given quite a few meets a pass after confirming too. I guess anush is in with his esteem.

Also, there are rumours of a 1/8th mile drag happening at the MMST on the second weekend. If this is true some of us will have to be there as well. Will see what can be done and let you guys know. Will be out of town for atleast the next two days. Akshay, kindly call up you know who and ask if he can manage to get the cars without roll cages onto KMS during the 1st or 2nd weekends. Or see if we can hire the MMST for a day before the drag. That way we can have best of both worlds.

I think you also need to factor in the weather. If it rains, it will be a real bummer, getting to the track and on the track
