Renault F1 public show coming to Delhi?

Read an article in the TOI today that Renault is planning a public F1 show in Delhi next year. They plan to bring down the 2006 champion winning car.

I think it will be fantastic to watch an F1 car being ripped and high-revved on public streets. To see an F1 car on the track is an exhilirating experience, but to see one up close on a familiar street will be mind-blowing. They are going to get their current driver lineup. Expect donuts, mock races, a technology showcase et all.

Click here to see a sample of such a show from another country.

Might be worth a quick splash and dash to Delhi!

I too read this today & seems like it could be a great event! And yeah it'll be worth a trip if it's happening like it happens in other cities!

P.S. IIRC they mentioned that at one of the events they got cars upto 270kmph infront of the public I just wish they would do something similar in Delhi!

Very True. Nothing like watching an F1 car at close range, revving the V8 and smoking those bridgestone tyres! Not even a grand stand seat at a race affords that kind of intimacy, bar Monaco!

Delhi awaits...

I believe the event is being organised by the main sponsor - ING Group.

Alas, today I've resigned from ING and now packing up for Miami. I have friends though who might be able to procure passes(paid/free if at all).

Lets wait and see if this event really does take place any time soon.

@ KB100 : are we allowed access to pit-babes , me being ex-INGian and you a current one.
