Guys, is the Kharghar strip cement concrete or asphalt? I know I'm hoping in vain, but please tell me it's asphalt! :(

There was the M5 guy who might have de activated all the traction assists and was just about to hit the barracade since he Floored it and was unable to handle the 400 bhp. This was on freshly laid out asphalt at the first khargar event.Hope u handle the M3 well

M5 makes 500bhp from its 5 Litre V10, M3 makes 414 bhp from its 4 Litre V8. Still, launching these rear-wheel-drive cars is tricky, no doubt about it. I'm still running-in, probably won't get a chance to practise any launches before the event IF I decide to participate. This voiding warranty BS is a bit worrisome!

Quick question...are full slicks or cut-slicks allowed in the rules? Does using slicks only allow you to race in the open class?

Depends on what slicks. BFG DragForce or Yokohama Advan A048 are DOT-approved, so you can run them in any class.

Well Road-Legal Drag spec (R-Rated) tyres were allowed last time around & quite a few cars were shod with them, so I guess you can get them for your car. Also, I think the Michelin Pilot Sport Cup's or equivalents would also be allowed considering that they are road-legal semi-slicks.

P.S. Here's a pic of a 300ZX running Toyo R-Rated Drag Radials on its rear end at the last Speed Run:
