That's news for me, I stand corrected... I can understand @ Neovas and G-IIIs

coimbatore track day 28th oct

was there yesterday. unfortunately , I was saddled with my relatives from coimby who thought the entire process was a waste of time, which means i got dragged off after watching everyone do the warm up laps

next time, I'm coming alone. no distractions or pesky relatives.
Loved that blue modded swift. may i know who that was?

thanks mclaren 1885 for the invite. I will be there for the next one too. will watch and learn and then wade in when I'm sure i wont embarass myself.

is there a thread i should watch to make sure i dont miss the next one?

But the setup looks a bit too soft for track use don't you think? Was this the same Vtec tha did 1:29? Pretty good timing with those suspension.

Another thing thats been bogling me is that during the recently held Indian touring car race at Kari, some of the cars were lapping in the region of 1:12. This was on a 2.1 km course. Is the course used for track day bigger than this....coz i don't understand the 16sec diff between lap times.

The end of the straight was blocked with tyre barriers and we had to take the bus stop to make it safer

I agree....

It just looked like there still was a ton of bodyroll, and i thought to myself, if this is an improvement (in terms of track driving atleast), then the original suspension must be terrrrrible, which i dont think it is.

Anush, who took the Krishnagiri route on the way to CBE was also of the opinion that this route was way better than the Krishnagiri route. Very Little traffic almost till Mysore, Saw some deers too on the way.

Took a break for 45 mins at Chamarajnagar and another break of 30 mins at Maddur CCD and reached B'lore at 12:30.
Man i envied you all the way home ..i should have joined you..

I dunno about the improvement but if you've seen pics of Ajmats car in Chennai, it had similar roll going around corners (and Ajmat later mentioned that the suspension was in bad shape when he drove it on track)

My suspension was not in too bad shape at the time of the track - first time (it had done only 38k km) - It was too soft for track no doubt. Current set up still lets car roll - not as much though. Rear is more planted though.

Oh ok, but when did you shred your tyres, 1st track day? I think you got the suspension stiffened in between right? So, present setup is stock is it?

I really don't see any diff between stock and modified. Infact, the stock one seems to be a bit stiffer.
