Forget F1, Noida to get it's first street race in December 2007!

The organisers have yet to finalise things themselves. Though this much is clear:
- Grp N 1400cc and 1600cc cars
- Must adhere to MAI technical regulations on safety (roll cages, seats, seat belts etc)
- Individual entries who carry only the organiser provided sponsors stickers will have a far lower entry fee than a Team entry.
- Cars to run on Goodyear tyres. Which tyre exactly is yet to be confirmed.
- most of the privateer cars from the MRF races will make it to Noida. Don't expect MRF to appear as they will not run on another's tyres.

Who are these guys? They have 20 days left to organise this whole event. I don't see it happening too well, or at all, at that.

Hmmm..i guess the title "street race" might be misleading to some.
I guess it does make it sound like its going to be a legal "street race".

So any car allowed in the open category of MAI Roll-caged cars.

What I understood:
1400 and 1600 open - any car following in that category
1400 Group N - Esteems with roll cage etc.

Am I right? (because I dont think anyone has so many cars other than the rally guys. There are already esteems racing under Group N regs in the south)

Also all have to wear firesuits or only those racing group N?? (I know safety first, just asking as its not required in autocrosses and time is limited)

i believe the organisers would provide their own branded suits. Cars must have 2007 MAI spec roll cages.
