well, that can be arranged.

What is the difference?
the difference is that in a Track day: there will be marshals, emergency staff, and chances to rent race cars like the saloon cars and single seaters. In terms of a pay and practice, its just us. we go to the track, and get on and pay. the flipside of a pay and practice is that since we are not Renting the entire track, if someone pays the full amount to rent the track, we cant go on. So essentially, in a track day - we rent the track out.
Anywyas, i heard a little birdie talking about a track day in the offing. will keep you posted.

The title of the thread seems to ask why track days are not more popular in general nowadays.

Nope... not saying that.
what i am saying is that for Pay and practice, only if the track is available can we use it. Else, if someone books the track then we cant go on.
On a track day the track is booked by the organizers of the track day and hence we dont need to worry...

Umm not quite,..there haven't been any trackdays at the mmsc in quite a while even though they are very popular among the locals down south. Most of them have been happening at KMS.

Anyways, please could you change the title to something more appropriate like "What about a Trackday at the Mmsc next month"

Alright,got your point/

A few more questions,
What are the fees to book the track for pay and practice & for a trackday.
Who takes responsibilty of any eventualities on a pay and practice session.

the owner of the car. MMST absolves itself of any responsibility.

I have been behind c3pO and pshyco for this thing like forever now. The only thing holding it up, is the Speedrun. Once thats out of the way we should see some action.

I checked with the track authorities and apparently, companies book the track about 2-3 days in advance. And it would cost us 40k to book the track which isn't feasible.
Our only option now is to inform those interested 2-3 days before the event.
Would this be ok,guys?

Nitrous, we can just check which day has a pay-and-practice slot open, and plan accordingly.

When I checked last week, the entire march was free except for a handful of days.
We can plan ahead. But,if someone's booking the track for the entire day after us, then...
Unless we pay 40k for a day, they can't promise us the track.

PS: Porsche has booked the track for a saturday
