and what about cooling your intercooler on the track using that massive cylinder for a good 15 mins ????
is that also allowed in the regulations ?

Yes this is allowed as per the supplementary regulations, i urge you to read them clearly. i have also put in the pic from the regulations. why can't i cool the intercooler for 30 min before the run ??? is there any rule against it ???

Indian Cars - STREET STOCK - 1451 to 1650cc Honda City 16.372
-------------------------------------------------
Indian Cars - STREET STOCK - 2051cc AND ABOVEHonda Accord 16.567
--------------------------------------------------
Indian Cars - PRO STOCK - 1601 to 2000ccHyundai Accent Viva 17.349

Was just looking at the timing sheets this morning and am stunned to see this.
A honda city does better than an accord.

Jus wondering if the timing equipment autocar is using is upto the mark or not or is it something else.

Quite possible... A OHC can be quicker than an Accord over a quarter mile. Depends on the extent of the mods on both vehicle and consequent p to w ratio etc. etc. etc.

that of course doesn't mean that the equipment is exactly upto the mark.(for all those claims of brought from US)

i understand that you might be right in some ways .... with regards to being within the rules .. they are very badly framed , not specific and open to interpretation ......

i do hold you in high regard BUT quite a lot of felt it was very unsporting of you ....

you were given a bit too much liberty i feel

.

There were events like this held at the Juhu flying club. I was present when there was a death that occurred during a motorcycle event.

I believe the flying club is no longer available for motor sports. I could be wrong.

so no bikes ???? cars are pretty safe when compared to bikes .....

As per my knowledge, the Juhu Airstrip has quite a few dents on it making it quite unsafe for high speed motorsports especially for 2 wheelers. However it is not a major problem for small aircrafts & any way how many aircraft actually use the strip on a daily basis.

Danlalan, i believe ACI has been trying to get permission to use the Juhu flying club for a while now, but no luck.

(I havent read the rules, but i do see neville's interpretation of them in a very absolute sense - nothing wrong with that)

EDIT: just saw your "edit". :)

Wonder whats so stunning about it!!! Every year we see the same, may be you arent following... FYI in a quarter mile its all about power to weight ratio, gear ratio, 0-150kmph burst speed where the OHC beats the accord by a fair margin unless its an extensively modded big brother!!!

If the new 3l V6 accord steps in things could be differernt though, the let down factor however could be autotranny!!!

Maybe you should have taken part in the PRO STOCK category. i mean you know... just to see how you perform there.

Oh I didnt mind that at all hence I had put my entry in it till I was told by some of the participants that Prostock allowed turbo/superchargers. Someone from ACI called to confirm my category after they changed the rules overnight and there I was suggested that I go in street stock, not my fault...as it is Im not too fond of running against cars with header and filter!!!

ALso FYI, I wouldve placed 2nd with my current timing in prostock
1401cc - 1600cc too...amidst all the zens running with OHC and baleno engines!!! Hope that convinces :-)
