Data Bank Of Racetracks Across India (Go karting & dirt tracks included)

I've always wanted to take my rides to track, experiece the rush, explore the limits and all! But unfortunately that has never happened. One of the reasons being ignorance about the tracks in our country. The hoards of formalities add further to the confusion.
The only thing that I know is that South is the way to go! But if that's the ONLY way to go - I'm not sure! What I'm sure about is that there'll be many more who'd be scrambling for information.
So why not put up a data-bank of tracks all across India and other details that might be useful. Info on air-fields that can be lent out might also be useful.
The only ones I'm aware of are the Kari Speedway - Coimbatore, FMSCI track - Chennai and one in Ahmednagar(with no details at all).

I'm sure details posted here will be helpful to all.

A track in Ahmednagar .. thats news to me. All I have seen there is the tank tracks in the Army tank museum. Post more details about the track please.

EDIT: Are you referring to the VRDE track? Just found a site which has some info about various govt test centres in India. NATRIP - National Automobile Testing and R&D Infrastructure Projects

Er.. dude.. Those are the only racetracks in the country as of now. So you are definitely aware and not ignorant....

The Ahmednagar facility isn't a race track but is used by ARAI for testing before homologating new vehicles.

As for airstrips, the popular one at Aamby valley is out of contention, as serious damage was inflicted to the tarmac after a certain company's driver training course. So they have put a stop to lending it out. The Bangalore Jakkur airstrip was also off the map for a while, but a drag is supposed to be held in May, so it may be the venue. (Bangy guys pls clarify) I was also made aware of another airstrip in Juhu, which is out of bounds for private organisers but can be hired provided some big-@$$ company is backing an event.

Thats all I know, I'm sure others will be able to add more.

@Spadival: thanks for the link. But I don't think these facilities are open to the public.

One doesn't need a databank for the tracks in India.
One just needs an infant's memory to remember the two circuits.

Yup, rumors abound of it existing on the outskirts of the NCR area in relative wilderness to keep the location as secretive as possible. No idea how true it is though.

There used to be a racing track at Barrackpore near calcutta.
Besides the juhu airport also has been used for track racing.
Im told Mr. Anil Ambani has a private track somewhere in Gujarat too!
