The 200 BHP Palio. It is owned by Fiat and was especially modified for this drag. The sound alone was worth all the effort that Fiat may have put in this car. Driven by an Italian, it sure as hell held its own against the Baleno it raced against.
So, if the Baleno kept up, then the Baleno must have been pretty powerful too.

Poonawala was back in his drool-worthy Turbocharged Honda City. For those who arent aware, he installed this turbo himself after shopping around on the ebay, and Autocarindia have timed his 0 - 100 in under 8 seconds. Against the Honda Accord V6, it seemed like a tough task. Until of course, the lights went green. You cannot see the Honda in the third picture cos hes so far ahead.
Haha, absolute no brainer. The Accord V6 is not even as quick as a stock Vtec (in a 1/4 mile). But a M/T Accord V6 vs Poonawala's TC City would have been very interesting.

This is our resident tech-head - Dom! And his fantastic Honda Civic. You really have to marvel at the confidence he has in his car. I asked him who he thinks he will be pitted against. His answer "Who the heck cares?"
Did you get to hear it roar at 9000 rpm? All i wanna know is it's 1/4 mile time. Somebody help!!!

And DOM.....are you planning to run the Civic on the GSD2s??? I thought you were gonna use slicks.

the event should had been organised well for spectators... was a helluva task to get hold of waht was happening inside.... perhaps hungama and bpcl shud make this a money making exercise rather brand building... and charge entrance fees for spectators if required et all...

nevertheless... great pics guys!! its really cool to know the 250fat rear chromed-mag extended swingarm with performance cans busa belongs to a team-bhp member out here! l'd be seeking u guys tomrrow... err.. if et all i know anyones faces!

Cars whose absence is felt are :

1. White Supra
2. Blue WRX STi, neways the white was present.
3. Lancer EVo
4. Ferrari 355
5. Porsche 944
6. Carrera S and turbo
7. Cayenne

Now there is one car in Bombay which wasnt excepted but had it come , it would have others begging for a second look ,
Its none other than Anil Ambani's Lambo.
GOD , give this man some time off from fighting with his bro.

no Shan2nu, the Foreign Class did not run on Saturday, since there was absolutely no time and it would get dark by the time the Ferrari and Corvette would come in, so it was cancelled and rescheduled for Sunday.

The most awaited car whose absence was deeply felt was the 1475 bhp Nissan R34 Skyline. It will be appearing today though.

VIDEOS!!!!
A number of our members have been taking videos of the drag, but it may take time to edit, upload and post them. So please be patient.
Sunday Meet UPDATE
TEAM-BHP members have already started to reach the venue, I just called a mod and was informed that the drag would start in the next 15-30 mins or so. I guess the Sunday drag is alwasy for a short time compared to the Saturday drag, so I'll be reaching there by 1030-1100. Any of you guys in Mumbai reading this, just switch that machine off, and head to the sealink!!! Hope to meet you guys out there.

a few pics of the Sunday Speed Run 2005, will be posting them in a whole new topic later with all pics. My camera settings were wrong when I took the drag pics, coz my eyes were burning [and red!!!] and in that harsh sunny environment I could hardly see the screen.

The Best Race: Ferrari 360 Spider v/s Mercedes SL 55 AMG

The Mercedes was very quick in the start and took the lead, and killed the 360!! The 360 however took its revenge on the Honda Civic Type R.
