Ok to clear everyones doubts - the lancer is desi but has been converted to an evo VI. It is an All Wheel Drive. Everything except for the doors and rear seats has been changed.

The reason why we got a faster time than bangalore was because we were able to solve a fuel cut we were getting. therefore we were able to run more boost. Also clutch was burnt out in Bangalore and was slipping.

Hey dragger would have loved to talk to you and take you for a spin man. maybe next time.

Slope was upward not downward so I dont know how any of us beniffitted. Reset the ECU the night before and put in th required distance or it to reset. EASY.

Favorite Race : Civic vs Ferrari / Merc vs Ferrari

Hey Sideways,

Thanks for clearing that up!
However, wouldnt this work out almost as expensive as just buying an EVO6 ?

Your fuel cutoff problem sounds like the same problem the EVO6 was having in 2003, with the fuel supply being cut off at ~6000RPM after some tweaking was done to try raising the boost to 1.5bar (running 100octane aviation gas!).
How much boost were you guys running?

Thanks,
R

Well the entire kit cost RM 35,000 plus we had to pay necessary duties etc.

We discovered that the fuel cut was coming in when we increased the boost above stock 14 Psi. We took a reference from the wide band oxygen sensor and found that the air fuel mixture was vey rich as we boosted higher and as the RPM increased. using Aviation gas did not completely sort out the problem and therefore we had to use the SAFC to fool the computer and lean the mixture out.

While testing the night before we ran about 22 to 23 psi. But since we had so many problems (which have been detiled in my earlier post) we decided to only run 18Psi for the drag. Trust me guys this car is cpable of late 10's early 11's. next time we will be prepared - Thats a promise.

Hey Jaggu the Drag strip had an upward slope.

LIVE HARD, DIE SIDEWAYS !!!
