you are talking about the monsoon 4X4 event that is held every year in sakleshpur, last time they had more than 50 entries, stages go deep inside the forest. Search on youtube you can see few videos.

I had been to the event yesterday with the Ideal Racing team, came back late evening. I managed to meet Riju & Malik on track, Fantastic display by the Cedia's of MRF & Red Rooster, Gill was really aggressive, One Esteem (DDL Sports) toppled over very close to the spectators but everything was brought under control quickly, The police were quite efficient and managed to clear the crowd but still we had some jokers running across the track as usual, By the time i Could reach the start of the last stage all the cars had finished and we had only the gypsy class going on. An Esteem ( I dont remember Kari Sports/ Chettinad racing) almost pushed us into a ditch while making time to catch his stage, I really felt that was unnecessary as we had left enough space for him to pass but he still had to "Mcrae" past us. We finished with the final Stage and rode back home with Gill & Vikram Mathias.

Was present at the event yesterday with Mallik , my bro-in-law and a few friends who came down all the way from Hassan to witness the K-1000.
As usual the rally dint let us down, was filled with action and only the dust was missing. Looks like it rained the previous day and hence no loose soil.

We reached the venue on time and drove to stage 1. Apparently one of the chaps from Red Rooster Racing team told us to go over to stage 3 for some action since there was a straight stretch with a few bumps .

Headed over straight to Stage 3 and I met Dilip(redrage) there. Dilip nice pics man, you shud have had some real guts to be standing there and shooting pics.

With the 0 car passing by I could see stones fling around and hence decided against standing there, changed lens and moved over to the mulbery fields.Also the crowd was a little haywire and the cops hurling abuses to control the crowd.





















Loads of action with the Cedia's and the Fiesta's doing some awesome speeds at the stretch. Wished the crowd was a little more mature and stayed off the track. With every passing car we could see the crowd(educated lot) walking along the track . Leave alone controlling the villagers.

All in all was a fun day with loads of action. Next time around need to find a better place to perch myself to shoot pictures. People know that you are taking pics and still refuse to move away .
