saw a chettinad sporting esteem today at MSM. was told that it won in the group N 1400cc category and came 4th or 5th overall

After a long gap of 9yrs, popular rally is back happening in May 13-14th 2017 starting from old venue, Marine Drive. Waiting for this years action. Fingers crossed! :-)

Good to know that the Popular Rally is back! I presume it would be held in the tea estates of Munnar, am I right? Who is charge? Biku Babu?

I remember the many starts & finsihes at the Marine Drive. I also remember once when the VIP (A.K Antony was it?) who was supposed to flag off the cars arrived late, but the rally wouldn't wait for anyone and was flagged off on time. When he eventually arrived, he did make a speech that he was amazed that there are things that don't wait for a VIP and he appreciated the attitude of keeping time.
