At the above venues and on the above given dates, there will be a simple process of a test and the number of persons, as given under “select” will be selected for the rally based on the number of points earned. Table given as T1. All selected entries will be announced by 1600 hrs. at the relevant venue. The selected entries will thereafter have to pay the necessary fees and be present for the documentation and pre-event scrutineering at the designated metros.
Any two members from each participating team are required to appear for this test. Based on the scores obtained by applicants, a certain number of participants (see below) will be selected from each location. A sample TSD format of 10 to 20 kms with a detailed sample speed chart will be given. Based on an average speed of 20 kmph ; maximum 30 kmph all prospective participants will be required to do this and complete it within the maximum stipulated penalty points. All those who successfully completes this will be eligible for the draw of lots in case the numbers as per the Table T1 for each venue exceed the “select” column. The number of participants selected from each location will be pre-determined and is final and binding on each participant. In the event of any tie, the tie will be broken based on draw of lots at the venue in presence of authorized FMSCI official. Results of the test, as announced, are final and binding on applicants.
In case in the event an applicant selected in the test does not wish to participate in the rally, his position will be passed on the unselected applicant with the highest score in the written test, till such time as the pre-determined number for that location is reached. In the event no person wishes to participate from a particular location, the organizers have a right to permit participation based on special invitation, or allocate applicants from other locations to that location, at their discretion.
In the event that any particular zone has not generated the required number of 50 entries, it will be made up from the other zones at the discretion of the organizers. In case of deficit in the total number of entries, sponsor’s/ organizers at their discretion can invite further participants to make up the required number of 50 per zone.

Description
The event is a TSD (Time,Speed, Distance Format).
The route to be followed for each leg has been pre-defined and is provided to the competitors in a road book (Tulip chart) along with the ODO meter readings. The route is divided into several segments and an average-speed is defined for each segment. Participants are required to try and maintain a speed as close to the average speed for each segment. Participants need to abide by Highway and local speed limits.
There shall be two legs to this event for the purpose of prize money.
Leg 1 shall start from four metros viz. Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata and Chennai and end in Nagpur with night halts as specified in 1.1 (I). Leg 2 shall start from Nagpur and end in Delhi with night halts as specified in 1.1 (I). There shall be no leg entries and all shall compete in both the legs to be eligible for the overall prize monies.
The rally is divided into sections which are of two types viz. 1) Free Zones and 2) Time Sections.
The Free Zones are road sections with slow speeds, necessary while passing thru crowded towns, major diversions as well as time provision for refueling & refreshment. The start and finish of these free zones are designated as disclosed TCs where penalties will apply. This will be on non-cumulative basis. The time recorded at the start of each free zone will be taken as the start time for the ‘time section’. Between the free zones are the timed sections, which is a cumulative rally where undisclosed TCs will exist and the same time penalties will apply. In these sections, the best performances in around 2/3rds of the recorded TCs will be taken for purposes of calculation of penalties ; example : if 15 TCs are recorded, 10 best (with least penalties) will be taken for the calculation of penalties. If the number of TCs are 16, for the purpose of calculation 11 will be taken i.e. 2/3rd recorded to the next whole number.
The details along with sample charts will be explained during the compulsory drivers briefing.

This is gonna b one hell of an amzing event .... though i wish Airtel had spent money on developing a Team AIRTEL to hit the INRC.!!!Anyways this event is gonna b grand , after all Mr. Mittal has this knack of doing things in a real big way. So how many bhpians chasing that whopping prize money .... I wud have luved to do this event but sadly i just cant take so many days of from my work at this stage .
I heard all big ex- rallyists are entering this event , i wud luv to see the starting line up for this event . Can some one explain how this TSD thing works .. i kno the basic but then I dot see a reasn why ppl shud get penalties . its so easy to mantain an avg speed of 30-40 kmph .
cheers
it is easy to maintain 30-40 kmph but what about traffic and when you cant undrstand the map and get lost. dude a tsd is a pain. its not as easy as it sounds.
why the age limit of 21?
also why vehicles registered only after 2000.
well there are a lot of pre 2000 cars that are more reliable than the current lot. but i guess that should be worked out.
also the starting of entries and closing of entries date is not mentioned clearly.
Entries close on different dates in different cities. In mumbai, it is 24th april. I suggest you get in touch with the club in your city for more details.
Guys, I'm not really going to argue on these points. These are the regulations. You either abide by them and enter or don't abide by them and don't enter. The organiser has a right to put these restrictions in his regs.
fellas, instead of questioning the rules and reg try and find a way to get hold of the goodies ... the organiser has his own mind and if thats wat he wants so be it . Firstly, its so much of cash for grabs which probably has never been shown to motor sports of any kind in india ... !!!
so guys get ur teams ready and go try it out ....
cheers
P.S - Rtech, do u think some one can convince Mr. Mittal to enter motor sports with a pro team ... not a bad idea !! Then mayb Hutch too will enter ..my mind just keeps running ..lol
yea Khaadu, it's crazy seeing all this money thrown at what is basically a publicity stunt, when it could have been of immense help to Indian motor sport and drivers. Their budget for this one event exceeds the budgets for a 9 round National Rally Championship! Go figure!!
i know .... I am trying to work on a full presentation for running the INRC and there is one section that you ill have to help me with ---- wat does a compnay get by sponsoring an individual , i mean at is the media coverage that an INRC event gets as of now and wat cud it get in the coming future !!! I have gotten money from a pool of friends for doing 2 events in the later half of the yr ... lol !!
And Im sure there will b fellow bhpians in those cities who might sponsor lodging ... so I'm practically set ... Lets c !!
So pls see if u cud help me with that part as u r pretty involved with the circuit ... I'm gonna be with out the net for the next few weeks again so u have some time to work on it ...
cheer
Rtech, just let me know if u helping ... else i will have to work on it myself !!!
cheers
P.S =Lets walk into Hutch india's office and tell them to do something bigger than wat Airtel is doing ... Everyhere u go our network follows --lol
the website is not working. anyone have any luck with it?
Khaadu, lets not go waaay off topic here. You know my number if you need anything. Or else PM.
Adil, no idea about the site. Things are not exactly clockwork on this event so far, so I guess we could expect the same from their website!
