Accelerace! Karting event at Powai.

Hello Everyone,

For all the guys who love racing and karting...
A karting event 'Accelerace' is going to happen on the 6th of this month at the Powai karting track Hakone. Organised by Sport18 (CNBC Network 18's sports division).

The event is open to everyone who is above 18 years of age, winners take away cool Titan Octane watches.

Is this a Sponsored event and does it come under National Carting series?

To participate you will have to register and pay an entry fee of Rs 400.
Not part of the National Series.

How was the event? I missed it as I was in Coimbatore for the race weekend. Who won this one?

@ Kunal : Post some pics of the event if you can?

Mostly you win these kind of events on the basis of luck and less by skills. Because not all the karts are same. You are plain lucky if you get the best kart when your turn comes.

This kind of scenario was faced at a similar event held at formula Karting track (airport road which is closed now). One kart in perticular was fast and every participants started to ask for that kart when their turn came. Finally, the organizers had to pull off that kart from the circuit. But what about the people who already clocked good time on that kart???

i was part of this event and i screwed both my time and money on this.

Yeh I agree there are always a few karts which are slower than rest, but we made sure to get rid of that problem, the drivers had to draw chits which had the karts number on them. So that pretty much made it an even competition.
