The yellow vRS with TN regn won its class and was second in the 'Open', yes v1p3r was driving it. This was the car 'adopted' by Team Mars. (See more in my earlier post.)

hey mr.ravveendrra and everyone else, iam the driver who was put against the esteem from Bangalore(car no.18) which you were reffering to.now honestly tell me do you think it should run in the street-stock category? i dont think so, iam sure the car has more mods than just, headers,filter, ecu remap(although i dont think the 1994 esteem had an ecu)and plugs. that was all we could do in our category according to the 'rule book'. iam dead sure that its been modded till stage2 N/A(port-polish and all) .

This happend because of the wierd scrutiny, they spent 5seconds in front on my engine and spend 5minutes at the back looking at the trunk and helmet.iam sure the esteem driver got through this category because of this kind of scrutiny.he personally told me its just running on headers and THATS ABOUT IT. which i think was a big lie to put it in decent words(no offense jayanth but come on dude). one more thing,he was running with just one seat in his car with no dash board no side panels nothing at all!,rest of us(i know the rest racers from our category) were running with two as we were Told that we could remove all that in our category.

iam not being a bad loser as i lost the race and also got disqualified for having a jump start which i must have(fast reflexes :P), but iam just saying that car was too fast to get into this category, he should have been in the pro-stock category.

i do not mean any offense to the driver of the esteem(jayanth),i got to meet him today, and hes a fine racer with a fast car which should run in the pro-stock category. any of his friends who might get angry reading this post by me should give it a second thought! it should be a fare play is all iam trying to say!

didnt push this to the organisers/stewards as i knew there was nothing that could have happend as they would have told me i had a jump start anyways.will be getting in touch with one the organiser tomorrow so that this does Not happen the next time.

IMHO, I feel this drag race should've been held at a better location. Splitting the road into a drag strip by placing traffic cones and not erecting barricades to safeguard the spectators surely exposes a lot of risks to the drivers, spectators and the cars.

I mean, just imagine if a car would torque steer and lose control. It would either crash into the car in the next lane or into the crowds at the start point.

This sport needs to be better planned in the interest of safety. This is my point of view.

This event was probably better organised than last time... going by the fact that the opening post (race report) was not a complaint or frustration, but there are still areas of improvement IMO.

as per the rule book, no car can have its body panels missing unless it has a roll cage. right?

so didnt akshay get pulled up for that? anyway congratulations to him.

Body panels does not include doors, boot hatch and bonnet. All drag cars run like this. I think only the front two doors are compulsory.

Vikram I have seen cars without front two doors too on the strip.
