Yamaha RideTech Challenge - Hyderabad - 30th August 2009

Just came across this on the Yamaha India's website.

Yamaha India is organizing a Circuit Riding event in Hyderabad on 30th August 2009 at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport.

Please check the following for the information:

India Racing | India Yamaha Motor Pvt. Ltd.

The site though does not give much of the details, nor does it tell anything about the circuit / track. But, its good to see some prize money being offered as well.

Absolutely lovely to hear that Yamaha is taking the inatiative in other places (then chennai & coimbatore tracks) hope to see them coming towards the west coast soon. Some rental R6's on a closed circuits doesnt seem like a bad idea either.

This event had no permit from the FMSCI.
There were no safety standards.
And we all would do best to stay away from such events.
And the organisers would do well to get their act together and have a legal event authorised and properly controlled by the FMSCI which is the governing body for all Motorsport in India.
