I don't understand the sarcasm. He's done a 13.3x run, and it's soon going to be a 12.xx run. That's no mean feat for an Indian 1.5. I think we should just appreciate the effort put in by the owner, tuner and team behind the car.

+1 to that.
The tuner knows what he is doing.

It would be great if you can build a car faster than his, if you feel you are smarter than the rest. An Indian 1.5 City doing 13.3 sec is by no means a joke and that contraption was a new intake system, but due to time constraints the potential was not fully unleashed.
In racing, extra projections and add-ons are only limited to functionality and not to attract chicks. Nobody gives a damn to how it looks.
The next drag, I'm sure this car will break into 12s. Thats a great feat for a 1.5 SOHC NA(nitrous injected) engine.

Hi,

First and foremost, he aint running a "D" series engine to be precise. Add to it, it is obviously not stock. He's running the SOHC Vtec.. which is a modded indian B 15C2. He's most definitely not running a B (foreign DOHC) series, or else he would have been into the 11sec's easily by now plus he would have had to compete in the Foreign class and not the Indian Open.

Secondly, please dont get me wrong, but, I guess you need to upgrade your knowledge"intake" by a big big margin. I am sure you would not have commented in that fashion if you knew that a "FEW MM's" changed in ur intake system can give/take some serious amount of juice to/from your engine.

Please understand, that during an event like this and given a person like Raj behind that car, nothing on that car would just be a gimmic to copy some fancy car that would have appeared in a hollywood flick!!

Entering into the 13.XX second bracket from a engine that is just some 1500cc is by all means a GREAT feat! Which I think should be acknowledged and praised rather than being criticised..

Just my two cents!

Cheers
Shrey

It might look ugly pranav, but infact its a very smart move by an ace tuner. I am sure he wont be running any air filter in between, the intake is facing at front of the vehicle so when car is at speed the air is forcibly inducted in to the intake thereby increasing amount of CFM going in to engine & more power. since its a drag race, every bit of cfm is important.

You must have seen fighter jets with huge intake in front, thats to gulp maximum air to burn the fuel to make power, but in this car it is being done at smaller level. Its the same principle.

You are correct. There is no air filter in between.
