Hey Manish, Those T-Shirts were printed by the Hyderabad Chapter of Team-BHP. Nothing official about it or on Sale. It was an initiative to get those T-Shirts printed and worn at occassions like TBHP Meets/Outings/Events like these.

This car belongs to JAN Racing which did 12 sec flat in the practice run
Isn't this the same car involved in the accident with Mihir Dharker allegedly behind the wheel?

No that was a skyline...

More snaps of JAN Racing Nissan Cefiro, I read some members commenting that vehicle has some technical failures, but it was not raced as the guy had some family emergency.

There was a complete set of required parts to swap if anything had really gone bad

OT: Saw a Jan Racing's Baleno at Masab Tank yesterday. It had the Quartermile Drag Race No.: 222. It had AP Registration. Who in Hyderabad was a part of the Jan Racing Team? Any news on which all categories this car participated in?

Apart from Shabbir’s Zen no other Indian car is associated with JAN Racings as of now, they are driving more of Imports. The Karnataka registered Innova which has the JAN Racing sticker belongs to one of the Bangalore based JAN Racings associate & that has not got any Quartermile Drag Race #.

I think Baleno guys has put the JAN Racings sticker to make it look sporty or to boast that he contested

Very well said "HARD TO BELIEVE" rather I would put it as "IMPOSSIBLE TO BELIEVE" I would like to see the cars repeat the performance and then also open up the engine to show that it is within the limits the modifications allowed.

There are times when I wonder if it is worth not cheating but seriously it hurts the ego to even think so. Just means we need much better regulation of the sport on the technical side of things. I guess I can sum it up in one word "TRUST"

Seriously speaking, an NA FWD capable of doing 12.4 should have a power to weight ratio of over 260bhp/ton.

I dont think an Esteem engine is capable of giving the Zen that much advantage.

Only possibilty i can see is if the engine produces around 140bhp and the car weighs around 500kgs (280bhp/ton). And ofcourse, there are other factors like rotational mass, tire compound and gearing which can improve acc even furthur

Shan2nu you are missing other points, that is on pen and paper not on a drag strip, there are other factors like transmission losses, driving talent, traction, elevation, temperature, weights and luck.

The zen may be stripped down to about 600 kilos but you still have the drivers weight and the zen's lack of aerodynamics. The only way they could achieve that would be that they were producing 300 bhp min on the wheel to avoid all the other factors.

In addition to that if they could achieve that timing on a NA zen why didn't they have the car here instead of the turbo 800 thats doing 14's.

If I owned the car, man I would be taking it places and creating replicas of that engine. The best I heard of the twin cam g13b's running naturally aspirated was 13.6 and that too with slicks. (Wonder if I can apply for a trainees job )

280 Mohd Fahad Kutty Maruti Zen 13.13 0.72
275 Imran sattan saudagar Maruti Zen 15.16 0.62
