Changes in JK Tyre National Racing Championship 2010

Hope many of you are aware of the news regarding the introduction of Volkswagen Polo Cup into JK Tyre National Racing Championship 2010.

I have an another interesting piece of information to share with team-bhp members.

I just spoke to my racing team folks, it seems that the Hyundai Endurance category will not be there in the JK national championship next year, but instead it will be raced in the MRF National Championship next year.

Though it is still not clear as to whether the existing racing teams (in JK National Racing) will manage the cars for the MRF championship or not?

Will keep this thread posted about the new developments.

Hi Ganpat
How are you doing man? This is Deep, if you recall we raced FISSMEs together for Rams

Good to have you on board

Who's handling the Polo cup operation locally. NK, Rams, WSRF?

VW would be sponsoring the Polo cup.
The drivers would be chosen by an "audition" and the age limit for the applicants would be 26.

Hey Deep! I am doing fine and hope you are doing great as well.

Yes, I remember you very well and the junior cup days.

I guess it is not decided yet as to which team is going to manage the polo cup.

The initial driver selection process was held in Kolhapur. The top 45 will now graduate to a second programme which will be held some time mid May at the Kari Motor Speedway in Coimbatore.

The results for Round 1 should be up shortly on the VW Polo Cup India website - Volkswagen Polo Cup India
