Hats off for a great build and the dedication that has been put into this project, was lucky enough to hear the stories of how they went about piecing the jigsaw together and really has fallen right into place.

It was fast. This car, after launching and while shifting from 1st to 2nd fishtailed and nearly went off the track and he had to lift off the throttle for a second to regain control and floor it again. Despite all this drama, it clocked some 14.xx.

It seems as though most of the powerful cars had traction issues like i mentioned earlier.

+1 to that.

I keep checking APMSC site as well and no updates on the timing sheet there as well. Eagerly waiting for the results.

Cheers,

Jitu had similar issues too.
all this puts the beauty of the GT-R in perspective. the fastest most powerful car on track, starting on the dirtier of the two sides launched with no fuss whatsoever, took a 3-4 car length lead over the Donut Machine and ate her up like she was a donut. I love that car!

This one was an highly impossible shot. But thanks to Canon 50D and its high ISO range, as far as I remember this one was shot at ISO 3800. I tried clicking with my 400D at 1600 but of no use, only thing I managed to capture was 2 headlights.

True, the right hand part of the track was more dirtier. Check out the images posted by Karthik247.

i haven't seen the dirt but i could feel the tyres loosing traction & car sliding out in 3rd on that narrow road, it feels tad scary at those speeds, a wider track would have been better.

I wish the same "Better luck next", but going through the past records from that donut machine, I think this was just some kind of catch.

oh we could see it quite clearly Jitu. funny part is that you ran better on the dirty side :-P
methinks all that dirt came to be on the track because it was kicked up by spectators who were thronging trackside and bouncers who were trying to herd them back. later in the evening, the strip began to resemble a fish market. anybody have any other theories?

Its normally our hyd unofficial photographer(nazim aka pulsar56) who does the duty for posting the timings did not come this time due to family commitments. So, as far as I know none of the hyd folks had the enthu to click pics of the timing sheets.
