Hi,
Firstly, a big congrats to all the winners and the participants. All in all it was a good event.

Niju, thanks for the all the help. Had you not been there I think all the efforts would have gone down the drain (this guy helped my car get registered for the event at the nth moment) The 2 nights without sleep is something that I cant forget! I think the 97oct that I drank while siphoning it out from the container to our cars is what kept my engine running for the 2 nights. Also a big thanks for the pictures.

Although I was not satisfied with the performance of my car as it developed some major issues enroute to hyd, I would still rate this trip as one of the most eventfull trips in my life!!

Getting on, a big thanks to Racedynamics for their support, the car would not have churned out those decent numbers had it not been these guys! Thanks once again.
A big thanks to the guys at Mazda Motors (Ramu Bhai and his gang) who worked on a holiday to get my car running!
Thanks to Memo for lending me the tyres and thanks to Rahul for the rims!
Hoping to do justice to the car by doing some good timing in the next event.

One more thing that I wanted to ask ppl is, I just check the timing sheet and saw that in the Urestricted class the cefiro came 3rd? Im really confused now, as far as i remember Jitu's ohc had smoked the cefiro! Then how did he come 3rd?

Will have to check my handycam and confirm on that one! But still, does anyone else have the video of Jitu's run with the cefiro?

Wow! impressive array of cars! It is great to see the enthu and time and not to mention the mods on the cars! great job covering the event! as good as being there!

Hi Guys,

The above information is totally incorrect. I was present in Hyderabad and part of the AR/Jan Racing team. Am quoting Ranjit's version of the incident below.

The Cefiro fishtailed in 2nd gear under full boost due to which the driver lifted of the throttle momentarily and accidentally shifted into 5th gear which led to the car bogging down. He reslotted it into 3rd gear and flew by Jitu approx 10 metres before the finish line.

As you all may be aware the car had already clocked 12.xx in the previous Deccan Quarter Mile during the practice run.

@ Ford Rocam - You were obviously party to the incident why dont you come out with the truth.

For Starters, ANKU i know 100% that the above matter isnt posted by you. You really shouldnt be giving your id to any tom dick and harry to prove a point.
Let him/her come out and say what they have to if needed.
And if you do try and say iam wrong. Let me post a link of many that contradicts the way in which the above is put down.

Anku, while we wait for the videos, Id like to clarify something...

myself, Shrey and Niju [silver_streak] were trackside at almost the halfway mark [I believe it was the VIP viewing area]. Nitroxx was there too. we all saw Jitu run TWICE. first time on the far side and second time on the near side. we all clearly remember the Cefiro being at least 2 car lengths behind by the time they blew past us. now what are you telling us? the Cefiro made up this distance and overtook a [proven] 400 whp car going at full pelt in less than 200 meters?

also, how do you so categorically state that our information is incorrect? by quoting somebody else? we saw things first hand. did you?

if Im not wrong, even an R1 clocked a 10.xx in practice. did the rider replicate it on raceday? please stick to what is relevant and not ancient history.

the most perplexing bit is this... an 800 bhp car [sounds familiar], belonging to the main sponsors wasnt shot on film? I dont know about others but if I was the main sponsor somewhere, Id ensure that every moment of the race was caught from all possible angles. maybe Im just stupid.

The race is held with proper permits from FMSCI.
As for the helmet, the picture quoted has been shot while returning back after the run with a speed limit of 40kmph.

@armotosport: If only travelling abroad very often didn't sink my wallet, I agree I'd have an upgraded cam. Thankfully,I've just been reminded that there was a HD video taken by someone. I maybe flooded with wrong information, but who knows it might just creep up in a day or two. Keep watching this space.
