Completely agree with the statement nikhil and note that he is a rally guy driving on track for first time.

My observation after riding shotgun with him...
- doesn't take car smoothly on corners.
- Always enters panic situation.
- But one thing i have to appreciate is he has CONTROL over the car as what ever panic situation he enters can come out of it.

All is excused as he is a newbie.

This guy has talent with those crappy tyres he was able to keep up with those rally esteems which did 2.09 min wonder what would he had done if he had advan neovas.

Vijay, my car was totally under prepared. Even the previous night I was stranded in a traffic signal. My fuel pump relay had a mind of it's own, works sometimes, stops sometimes. Could not find a replacement in the market. But, I don't know why it overheated. Did not have the time to check it out still.

Cant wait for the next track day, as this one was slightly disappointing for me.
Had an electrical/electronics problem and the car kept switching off on the track. and then later on for a while the car was not revving beyond 4.5k rpm..

Thanks a lot sriraj for all the support and help when the car was acting up. And ofcourse hrishi for the pick up and drop service around the track in his petrol indica. He was really squeezing every bit of juice from that motor.

I dont even remeber how many times i disconnected and reconnected the battery trying to reset the ecm. i actually had a 10 size spanner in my pocket all day.

But i did manage to get a few "ok" laps when the car was behaving itself. dint time myself, but i did feel i was doing better times than the previous trackday.

Switching to o.e size tyres has improved the overall feel and handling of my car.

Thanks to the chennai boys for organising. sadly didnt get to meet /chat up with many of them.

Sat shotgun with raj ks in cedia ,really like the way the car handled, very agile.

Nikhil's timing by the end of the day was impressive . he had done a 2.29 when i was sitting shotgun with him.

Sathee's car has the titanium exhaust, but mine sounds sweet after 3K RPM as well. I was not able to figure out which of the two blue Fiestas passed by in your video.

Your car exhaust can be heard in the video that was shot from inside the Palio. Maybe you missed it.

Please don't apologize buddy. We are all on the same boat here.
We are learning our lines and trying to push one step at a time.
Most of us had a blast, so that's all it matters.
I went into the pits after following the octy for a lap. I don't have enough grunt to pass him but he wasn't fast enough to leave me in the dust. In the video I lost the tail end taking c10 was coming in waaaaay fast trying to play catch-up, luckily I was able to get the shown back on the track.

Yup. As most of us commented those chaps. Absolutely daft. He had no room still he kept coming. I lifted off and the moved to make room else he might have given a nasty surprise to the octy probably by trying to go around it.

No way man. That guy is just keeps on going. He was the only reason I was able to do my best time for the day. I was right behind him. He gave me room and I was able to pass, only to be pushed to the max. I snapped and I spun. This was the closing laps near 5pm, So there is Manek for you.
