Can't blame the car for that. I'll blame you. Find a good petrol station and fill there only, unless and until if its that desperate. For me I usually top-up when I'm at 1/4 so..

@yzfrj : thanks for the pics mate. |
You'd have cursed even more if there was no PS. My right shoulder was sore for 2 days. Soft suspension and brakes eh.. ? You really should have taken my car out for a spin :D.

Bring the Civic next time. Should be even more fun. :) Which tires did it come with? Michelin? |
Civic will not be so much fun because it will not be running Advans for sure. I'm in love with the AD07s but dad doesnt want to put them on the Civic.
Civic has come with Michelin MXV8s but will be changed soon to Conti CPC2.
I dont want to get the Civic next time. I want to get the NHC only and see if I can improve the time further. Sunday was my first time on track and I improved from 2:31 to 2:21. I want to know if I can go down further. Maybe if I switch off the AC! :p
How's the timing done with that "transponder" thingy ? I saw that it is attached to the car (near front bumper?), but not sure how it captures the lap timing.

Not really sure how it does it "stuff". Slipstream was saying this thing even takes sector timings (in this track has its for 3 sectors). The device is even capable of uploading the data to the internet (yeah live...! times). So we can be online and see the times then and there, you know without "asking" anyone.

90% of the time I was with AC. I did switch it off occasionally when I thought I was on a hot lap. But in most cases, that was when I was at least 1 minute into the lap.
I think at the most, I did 2-3 whole laps without AC.

hey guys
Cars misfiring after 2 laps on the track indicates fuel flow problems as well as cooling system issues. Please get them checked / rectified.
Taking a car on track is not as HOT as made out to be. Whether its 43 C or 33C does not make a difference for the carsplease:

Completely agree with you that cars are not supposed to heat up even after driving extreme/not so extreme on the track.
Another i noticed was that people came into the pits to cool down their cars and switched off the engine, i think they should be left on to help the water circulate and bring the temperature down to operating temperature
I also take this opportunity to thank you for helping me take out the first few laps on the corolla and teaching me the ropes of track driving. I did a total of about 135 or so kms

Good Point. If possible, its better to do a cool down lap at medium speed (stay away from the racing line) so that you can get some air flow into the radiator.

that makes sense! all i knew was don't put the handbrake in the pits :) and I occasionally opened the hood to see the status of my broken cai and then kept it open, guess that would have cooled things down a bit lol:
Phew!!!! 4 days and so many pages of pics, videos and discussions. Nice work guys.
For my part I had good fun on my Getz and for the first time, I found the car to be pretty good at corners. It just needs better tyres :-). Hoping that my current set of XM1+s wear out soon. On the return journey to blr, I had more confidence in the car than I ever had.
Jassi- I was driving with AC full time as it doesn't make a difference to the power. When I went out alone, I even put on the music, but it was hardly heard over the screams of the tyres.
It was nice interacting with all the guys, though I hardly met any chennai guys except Mr Bean and Rahulkool. Next time we can make it a full weekend program and that will give enough time to interact with most, if not all; and some time to rest.
Cheers
Was my first appearance at the MMSC circuit and drove down along with Vinay Vtec and a common friend on his Innova. We also had in company Akshay and Rishi on their Swift VDI, Keshav and Vasu on their Zen that was running in and all the others as well like Nikhil,Manek,Megazoid and a few others I guess a total of 11 cars. We first met up at the regular meeting point A2B had breakfast and moved on. Only stopped later after one of the toll gates to see that all arrived and then only stopped at MMSC. I was only here to take photos and enjoy watching all the cars that my lens could lay eyes on. I did shotgun with Rishi on the Swift and it was an exhilarating experience. Would love to part take in the next event and have a small gang of OHC VTEC's out here in Bangalore who would also love to join. For lunch we all gathered at Indo Muscat bakery and actually had to join up about 3 tables to accomodate everyone. We finished off late that evening went over to Indo Muscat bakery again for some delicacies and then headed home. On the way stopped by at Ambur to have the famous biryani. Reached bangalore I guess about 1 am Monday morning. I have attached a few pics below and if you want a soft copy PM me.
Continued a few more Pics of the event
