Formula One Boat Racing - Mumbai Grand Prix

Some photos of the Formula One PowerBoat Racing that was held today in Mumbai.

Thanks a lot, i heard about this and i was wondering what it was all about.

Here are the ones where u can actually see bombay as opposed to the pics of just boats and water.

How about that...... While the country is cribbing about having an F1 (car) race in India. All of a sudden, out of nowhere they go and conduct an F1 boat race.

We want to see cars, not boats!!!!!!! Hello, 4 wheeled 900+bhp vehicles, 19,000rpm, Schumacher.......is there a ring in the bell?

???

Thats really some awesome photography.

Did you know that the organisers were handing tickets away for free, yet the turnout was 10% of what they expected. It coincided with the australian GP and holi, but even otherwise I would have thought twice before going.

For me, Boats = boring...even if they have a helluva lot of power.

I heard alot of coconuts were thrown in the sea which posed a problem for the boats. But anyways F1 car racing is a priority for me though . I really dont find boat racing all that interesting..
