Personally I don't like them. Grip is average and on the limit it is very scary.
So on track this will get shredded. That's what I think, I might be wrong.

Bring on the Vtec
It will be fun. I promise.

Manek we have a "test" user Venom_rider aka Goutam. He has them now when he upgraded from the "slicks" he used last time around.

Any inputs Goutham ?

Its going to be around 40C inside the car with no aircon. So do you even think you can use a "used" one ? Better to bring one along.

Manek: Wear, not much provided you drive well. For oyur driving, I dont think wear will be an issue. You are afterall the king of the track!

Grip: Practically non existent. Especially once your tyre heats up. Grip will be substantially worse than the GIIIs on your 800.

I meant if someone has a spare helmet. Not one that they would be wearing at the track.
Unless, if someone can confirm that i can drive on the track wearing my turban. Then i wont need a helmet at all.

Yup. you got that right man.
I tell you that 800 is not an 800 and so are the GIII's.

Hey Manek,

Nikhil has provided all the details, anyways... my 2 cents: XM1+ is great entry level tyre & is comfort oriented. I have been using them for almost 2yrs as my regular tyres, I switch to the used ones only for track day (Hankook) weekends.

The Hankooks had almost 50% - 60% thread left before its first trackday & are now slicks after ~400kms of track use. I am guessing, if driven hard the XM1s will also wear out similarly... Hope it helps.

That reminds me... I need a new set of "used" ones before this track day

Cheers!
Goutham

I did 3 track days on them with no real damage.. depends on your driving style, cutting corners etc I think will screw them up but with proper lines there will be no problem. I went on a set of 4 laps at a time and they were fine
