^Thanks Abhay and Killer.
The track could have been better and the organisors can be more civilized. All are straight from some jungle. Track was an uphill and reference against the last shamshabad drag strip was nearly off by almost a whole second for cars. Quite pathetic for chasing drag times.

Pathetic track, bad organizing , but a Successful day for us, we had a modest team of three cars, a Q7 4.2 v8 tdi , a Porsche Boxter S and a C class 220 cdi.
All three cars got cups home, the Q7 being first obviously in the diesel open, c class being 2nd in the diesel open. and the Boxter getting 1st in its foreign category.
I wasent behind the wheel of any car this time, but my brother was in the Q7
Cheers to all Winners from our side

Ahh.. Finally I get to see the AR boys with the Civic vs Honda. Any clue about how did these cars perform? Can we have the timings?

Loads of wheelspin from Madhus vtec...look at the amount of rubber its layed down in the pics above...there's good time to be gained there if wheelspin can be reduced. It ran a low 13 even with the uphill track...pretty sure it would've gotten into the 12's had it been the old track.

^Indeed. Madhu's Honda is by far the fastest and the most powerful Indian car to grace the drag strips. Considering it runs full AC, PS, all comforts even in drag trim with the exception of only fibreglass doors and hood. If it ran at shamshabad, it would have easily clocked mid 12s. Knowing the car quite closely, its a feat that most Indians cant imagine. Even surprising is the fact that the car was driven down in full drag trim, except the nitrous bottle hook up. Thats some insane reliability and testimony of a super fast engine. Hatts off to Raj for pulling this off. Meets world standards of the D series 1500cc block.

@ Fieroid: could you list down a few specs of madhus car?
Indeed the car is a masterpiece having seen it at the Mumbai SR.

^Well, the specs are just too long to list and I do not wish to list unless I am authorised. Its a flagship build by a very hardworking man. will do if the owner/builder confirms.
