INRC-Indian National Rally Championship: K1000 : Bangalore. PICS & VID on Pg 2

As all of you know that K1000 bangalore leg is going to be held on 3rd, 4th and 5th Dec. This time i wanted to visit this event with my son. He is very interested in cars. So want suggestions on which would be the appropriate place to watch the event and also which day ?
Anybody else attending the event ?

Got the following info from facebook.

Come and watch the Super Special of the K1000 on Sunday at 10:00 a.m.
Venue: Sammy's Dreamland on the Intl Airport Road

The best viewing would be on the 2nd stage on day 1 and the 6 th stage on day 2. This is the longest stage with a distance of 29.29 kms.

41 conformed entries this time :-(, a little less this time

Thanks to Mr. Sathya and Dr. Venki, I will be in the rally for the next two days as an Officer!! All of us will be staying there tomorrow night at the resort.

Guys, I will be there as the (un)official photo/videographer

. Check this link for the map of the location, 3 stages which were used from sometime now is already marked within the earmarked area.

Directions from Bangalore:
* Take the BIAL / Bellary Road & come to Chikballapur City
* Ask for directions for Sidlaghatta & come to Sidlaghatta town,
* Ask for directions for Dibburhalli Road & proceed towards the Dibburhalli
* It is approx. 8kms from Sidlaghatta to Ram Farms (the rally base for special stages) before Dibburhalli itself. To make it easy, ask for CAR RACE at Sidlaghatta town

Will also be updating my blog dedicated for motor sports, please do check it out too for more updates as the time permits!

For your knowledge, 2 bhpians are competing (tatsago & memo45_m) in 1400 class, please do come & cheer them !

For easy access, I have taken the rally map of the previous year with green arrow marks for the spectator points for the special stages, which will be fun to watch. You can take your kids along (*just don't let them loose to run around) & am sure you can find some safe spots for some hot n' fast action!

Do you have Geo-Tagged photos of the locations? Also may be next time you can save GPS tracks from Main Road to Location for ease!

Also, This is best time to use WAZE - GPS App on our smartphones to co-ordinate and see other team-BHPians at the location. Also we can ping each others who are online and also send alerts!

Good to know that. In fact i was also an officer few years back and it was because of Mr.Satyapal.
Counsel, are you a licensed HAM Operator ? if yes, what is your call sign ? Which stage are you managing or rather what is your role as an officer ?

Have been a regular visitor from 2005 at the event when in bangalore. Looks like its gonna be an interesting rally this year, heard there are teams from Sri-lanka participating with their EVO's.

Surprisingly I don't see any familiar names from tbhp killjoy, mohnish et all. The only other member from here that I can recall is raghuram.cg whose is participating.

I have a friend who is participating... Sanjay ain his Gypsy. Went on a test round in his car last night to set-up the Race Dynamics ECU. So I should be going most probabyly tomorrow to check it out and cheer for him!

Can anyone tell me what time it is going to start!

I am proud to be hosting the teams at Clarks Exotica. It was an amazing sight to see them return back last evening after sunset back into the park. Was really upset when the shake down was called off as the APRC officials were not convinced on the saftey set up at the venue by the organisers.
The srilankan APRC machine is a mean one. Jolly good lot of guys as well. Bet lot more action on day two and during the super stage.
