I shall update the results in the evening. For the time being, Hyderabad participant Prabhu with his Peugeot (Team-Mars) was awarded "the fastest indian car on the track yesterday(9th January 2011)!!" setting a time of 13.129 seconds (ET+RT). Later after the official race, it was driven by senior gentleman (sorry I didn't get his name) with years of experience and he clocked 13.069 seconds.
The peugeot had 2.4l accord engine, rear mount and rear wheel drive, it also had nitrous system.
I've got some pictures, will update it soon.

The Peugeot is a custom build. It has a
mid-engine which drive the rear wheels, the engine is an Accord 2.4 litre. It clocked a best of 13.006 seconds during a practice run. In the final runs it clocked 13.129 and 13.155 seconds with Prabhu behind the wheel, 13.462 seconds with TBHPian Suren181 behind the wheel and 13.6 seconds (this is subject to correction) with TBHPian Absynthguzzler behind the wheel.
The gentleman Kkr2k2 is referring to is Mr. D. Vidyaprakash of Prime Racing, Coimbatore, popularly known by his initials DVP. He is a veteran of motorsports and has 37 years of experience under his belt and has won several events. Sunday evening was the first time he ever sat in the Peugeot and he clocked 13.068 seconds in his first go.
Any timings and photos of the drag meet and the kinda numbers the cars did with winners list
b.viji's 13.689 pro-stock upto 1600 is in his cc:weight esteem?,that is commendable if it is,thats a na motor,well done,cheers,happy revving..!
I see psycho on a podium in one of the pics. What did his car do and what did he win ? Sorry could not read the results put up by kkkkkkkkkkrrrrrrkkkk2222kkkkk. lol. :)
Well, how can a cc to weight car - Esteem with Baleno engine, be eligible for Indian cars - pro-stock upto 1650cc class? As per the rule book, the same car and the same engine in one trim is only eligible. Zen with baleno, esteem with baleno, Honda with a B16, D16 etc are some of the funny combinations. They declare the CC and the scrutiny is passed. Wonder where are the rules and where are the great scrutiny masters.
"Pro stock Indian" means Indian cars with Indian engines, and then they get classified as per the CC. "Street Stock" would cover Indian cars with stock engines.

Obviously you can't see psycho in the winner's list as psycho in real world is known as Keshav Arora :p. He stood 1st in 1101 to 1400 cc Forced Induction India Cars category. He stood fourth in Indian Open.
