Kharghar may not be the ideal place...but its certainly better than reclamation...in the past 3 years there has been 2 really serious accidents..even though they were driver's mistake they would'nt have been that serious had the same taken place say on an airststrip..apart froma scenic veiw recalamation is no good...very clustered,little/no space to ride/drive off post the drag shhotout.

that will be a huge disadvantage with n2o cars as there will be many runs!!

dude r u kidding me, just grow up man, i think u havent witnessed those 2 major mishaps, yup its true that both accidents took place because of riders fault, and practically reclamation is not the proper place for drag, actually not for any race,
yeh pawan hans is good but i dont think govt.will allow, whatever it is, its auto cars and the organisers headache, we just need the race as far as safety is concerned we our self need to be "ALERT"

gharghar would be better.

are you sure about this knockout format? it sounds outrageous!!

hey man i agree with you all that reclamation is not the place to race atleast we should have some safety and some place as reclamation is having less space its not that good for drags becoz any thing can happen but the only thing ig that the hospital is nearby

Hey Guys... Had met with Hormazd Sorabjee at the Auto Expo. He says the mumbai drag will be 26th/27th Feb. He also confirmed that there will be a drag at Delhi and Chennai too.

nice joke dude, but for your kind info, in 05's speed run when that busa guy crashed, the ambulance was not starting only,till 5 mins after the crash the driver of that ambu, was igniting his ambu, and then tow van was headed towards that poor chap, just imagine that how this guys are so unconcerend about our safety,

i would love if its at khargar but i dont think they will organise at khargar cause its too far for mumbaikars speically for town people there will be less crowd compared to last year as not many people will prefer to travel for more than 1 hour as traffic at chembur is killing.

17th feb can be because mumbai is busy end of jan as there is auto show and also feb as there is times mumbai motor show so after that there will be drags thats a good start for mumbaikars in 2006 lol

whether you like it or not it is going to bhe kharghar.
only the cream croud with come as its not centrally located.and even if you add all the locals up you wont get nearly as many as there were at last years reclamation run.

that is more than enough reason to change the venue.
besides at the rate the the event has been gaining polularity... reclamation would be too small to hold the crowd thats expected
