Mumbai Speed Run 2006 - NOW UPDATED with Mumbai / Delhi dates and MAP

i have been awaiting this since quite a while.
have already started work on the drag bike project.yet havnt heard any confirmed news about the run happening this year?

any inputs from you guys

Hey cbr1000f the speed run is on january 22/23 2006 i suppose cause i got the news from banglore drag racer who is on of my school friend n he is coming here to kick some butts well n the bad news is that this year there is no run for super bikes because of the accident that took place last year so this year only indian bikes n cars but where in cars there is international run for them so lets enjoy in january at the SPEED RUN

I was about to post about this. But, u just started the fire,buddy.
Hope to join in with HOT cars from chennai, boys.
The S2000 needs some tuning to beat us chennai guys.So, its going to be a close call .Keep ur fingers crossed for another 3 weeks.

well, i doubt about the jan dates, because ACI haven't confirmed or speculated any dates. the speed run is most probably going to be conducted in feb, if not before; but from what i hear, this year is going to be very different from the last, in terms of organising....

i too heard about the jan dates .. Though ACI hasnt come up with any official news .. I dont think there would be much change in the way the oraganizing is done compared to last time, but the last i heard was that they were going to give TIMING SLIPS to the participants .. Now that in itself is a quantum step..

i heard that has already been turbo charged lately

i had heard about the jan 22 date from another forum...but i dont think that is going to happen as nothing has been confirmed.my guess is somewhere around 15th feb or so

i also heard from someone that speed is not going to be organising so it is going to be as hyped as it was before.

well yes ..timing slips really are a mst for any drag/racing event.
any idea if they were given at the bangalore burnout this year

No way !!!!! if they were then the timings for the 1L class and the esteem class wouldnt have gone a miss from the notice board ... Timing slips are a must ..
