re: Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 - Now Launched!

Its looks amazing ....... by the looks of the design , if you look at it from the side the rear curve is almost like you would see in the countach . Even the tail lights are pretty much similar to the countach .

I would say this time they have mixed the whole design from its all of its 3 predecessors . The Countach , Diablo and Murcielago .

But overall new interior is bold and heavy . Which is what its gonna make it more unique .

Sexy can, sexy do. The Aventador is HOT - hands, feet and head down! The design carries oomphs of attitude that commands Respect. I can picture this bull on the roads, in your rear view mirror and you make road for it just out of fear that it wont stomp and crush you down! If I had just one car to pick and drive for my entire life, this would be it. Lovin' it!

Re: Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 - Now Launched!

The overall design is just an evolution from the Reventon + Murcielago with touches from the Diablo and Countach thrown in. Yet, I still can't control my urges when I see it. I mean, It's just so god-damned hot! It's a true Lamborghini response to the curvaceous F458 Italia. And I'll take it any day over the Ferrari! (The FF might steal my vote anytime though)

Long revv Aventador.

As much as i love the exterior, the interior for me is a bit of a disappointment. They could have been more creative with the centre console. It is too fordish. Thats just me though.

Breathtaking, Mind blowing !

0-100 in 2.9 Seconds, 6498CC V12 Producing 700PS, Redlining at around 8500RPM and a Max torque of 690nm(509lbft)@5500RPM, a Carbon Fibre Monocoque Chassis with a dry weight of around 1575kg's, Carbon Ceramic Brakes all around, Electronic 4Wheel Drive System and a Lamborghini Robotized Independent Shifting Rod Gearbox, F1 Style Front/Rear Pushrod Suspension system,

After reading through all those specs, I have no more words left now.

Re: Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 - Now Launched!

I am not sure how such images are allowed on a public forum for all age groups to see... this is just pornography. Lamborghini Madness is back and with all this tech it will work. Lamborghini is already calling this car 2 generations superior to older murchielago.

Seriously though, has anyone got idea of mechanical details of working of this single clutch system which they say is even faster than DSG/DCGs.

Re: Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 - Now Launched!

As a stand-alone car, it's just out-of-this-world! It really cannot get better looking than this! So aggressive and menacing! The pantomime-ness and that 'wow' factor seems to have been achieved. It's stunning!

But as a successor to the Lamborghini Murcielago, well, ummm, I don't think it can fill that space, personally. The Murcielago was and still is such an epic car. It's successor should be even more epic!

This looks like the offspring of a Reventon and a Gallardo that went crazy behind the bushes. The scissor doors aren't the way they used to be. The characteristic intake in front of the rear wheels have now been completely redesigned. More Gallardo influence there. And that kink in the rear wheel-arch has been completely ironed out.

Yes it does look sharp and absolutely terrifying! But unfortunately, it's missing a few key elements that would have made it the perfect successor to the Murcielago.

Long live the LP670-4 SV. It will not be dethroned by this.

Suhaas buddy, you just stole words from my mouth. i was just afraid to type this as i thought people would flame me for this. the car although a looker looks more like a gallardos replacement than the legendery merci..

Although i am equally sure that i will change my opinion, once i see this god of testosterone in flesh.

Re: Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 - Now Launched!

Stunning is the word, now thats a serious looker lambo in the leagues of Italia (specs are much higher though). my pic of all the exterior color options is the blue hera. The specs also say 'carbon fibre monococque', can some explain this. Isnt this the same tech which is there is the MP4?

Any idea in case a piece is en-route to India, there must be some cheque book already signed in India for this beauty. The GC looks improved, not sure though.

Very closely related for sure. However, its less "edgy" than the reventon.
Its almost like a more modern take on the countach's crazy lines.

This part in particular is where it gets wild:

Forget all that. Looking at the specs of this car is what actually makes me
2.9 sec 0-100 for something like this is quite amazing.

Sorry - didn't attempt them (worst place to take interior shots = auto show). This is usually where the press release photos are worth looking at.
I have got some interior shots of the Huayra though. Coming up...

I do think the Murci was a beautiful design, but i also think that it will be forgotten quickly.

Yep, similar. The CF is forming the integral structure of the car (though in the case of the MP4 is seems to be a CF tub) :
