Hmm..I remember the 'idle-car-for-an-18-year-old-challenge' and the insurance premiums were more than double the price of the car. But,I thought that was only for the 18-year-old.

What'd be the premium say,on one of the two cars that were featured in last episode? Any idea?

I will then only work my ***-off to get a job in the U.K.

Well, this is off topic, but i will quickly answer your query. For me, a 23 year old Student, living in one of the best neighborhoods in Greater london and with my driving experience and duration of stay etc, I would be paying around £4,000-6,000 on that merc or BMW.

Well, that is still a lot less than what we pay here! It'd be under £15,000 max.Wish me luck brother,I am coming soon.

Mods:Sorry for going a bit off-topic.

Always wanted to ask this, nn Episode 2, why isnt Bernie wearing a seatbelt ? And when he finally attempts to wear one, its worn all wrong, under the arms and stuff.
Thoroughly enjoyed episode 3, some great cinematography, as we have come to expect from topgear. Richard would have kept up better with the CL600 if his 850 was equipped with the manual transmission.
The Pixo is considerably more expensive than the A* ZXi.

My best guess is that, maybe the Citroen DS3 doesn't have height adjustible seat belts. And when driven around a track, a passenger will be thrown around in the car and the belt along the neck will make it very difficult for a short person like Bernie. Though, I don't know if it is the correct way to overcome the problem.

Episode 2 was great, it was on the lines of what one expects from Top Gear.

Episode 3 was fun too, overall these 2 episodes were more inline with Typical TG than what the first showcased.

Re: TOP GEAR returns with Season 17! *UPDATE* Now on air

Description on iPlayer:
Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May attempt to make train travel cheaper, faster and more interesting by replacing the conventional carriages and locomotive with a series of caravans attached to a specially modified car. Also in this show, Jeremy is out on the track comparing the ripsnorting Jaguar XKR-S to the recently updated Nissan GT-R, while British comedy legend Rowan Atkinson is the star in the Reasonably Priced Car.

Re: TOP GEAR returns with Season 17! *UPDATE* Now on air

i really liked the funny approach, in which they were testing the made in india Pixo and they shifted focus on the other options for 6900 pounds.

Its amazing what they get in britian for 7000 pounds. we could only dream of. It would have been a hit here in India as we have lot of Juggaad to keep old automobile going and labour is dead cheap.
