Roadster comparison

I wouldn't buy any car in that list, but the best of outta those should be the Mazda RX-8 IMO. BMW Z4 is just sick, and so is the whole Z series

there are better ones out there but from among the ones mentioned above its the rx-8 for me.

since you said roadster i think the mx-5 miata is your best bet and the previous gen miata had an optional hard top for those really cold winters dont know if the new one had it or not. i think it fits the bill perfectly with a small peppy 4-banger and it will also be easier on the pocket(<-- that is if at all it matters to you).

Here's a tip folks, if u buy a Roadster, go for a car that was designed to be a roadster right from the beginning. Other cars, like the 350z, audi tt, or any other street car, tht has a roadster version is bad choice. Bcoz those cars handle poorly compared to pure roadsters, and have extra weight and reduced performance. So, if u want a roadster: BMW Z4 or any other z series and the new Honda S2000 are the best roadsters available.
And oh yeah, Miata, definetely a chick's car.

Just reviving this old thread. IMO the new BMW Z4 sdrive35i is the best roadster for weekend trips.

I know this thread is quite old and is no longer going to serve its original intended purpose (aah78's purchasing options at the time). However, just that I looked at a few sport coupes yesterday at the MN auto show, I have to say I was attracted to a well proportioned lady among the multitude.

The 2010 Jaguar XKR. The pics don't do her justice, but here are a couple anyway.
