These Chinese never get tired copying? This time, the A4 Avant, VW Tiguan and Infiniti EX get cloned to Yema F16, T-SUV and E-SUV respectively. Duh!

At this week's Chengdu Auto Show 2011, the Chinese automaker unleashed a second attack with a new breed of clones named the E-SUV, T-SUV and the F16.

In all cases, the pictures speak louder than words and it doesn't take an avid automobile aficionado to see that the T-SUV is a blatant rip-off of the VW Tiguan, the E-SUV China's doppelganger of the Infiniti EX Crossover and the F16 and its commercial E-TAXI sibling, copies of the older Audi A4 Avant.

This is unbelievable. I am just wondering, like it happens with technology related, won't it be possible for the original automakers to sue them for copying their designs? Do they really think they can get away with this?

I wonder how the guys in charge at VW would react ? In terms of legal action, I guess there are loopholes in the Chinese legal system which would not favor a battle in a court of law. But whats really intriguing is that china, which is at a high point in recent history and in the enviable positon of being able to coach US policy makers to implement pudent financial systems, is doing precious little to change its image of the copying superpower of the world. Be it in electronics, machinery or automotive. Its about time that the powers at the helm take steps to ensure this copy-culture is prevented from inflicting further damage on China's image.

I guess we in India also have the odd ICML Rhino, but im guessing that if Toyota kirloskar really wanted to drag them to court, they could have.

Like all chinese products - I dont know if these also - "look good but dont work" like all their other use once and throw away type of products (Toys, electronics, electrical etc)

I wonder if they have copied the quattro design as well and offer it straight up!
