Displacement Replacement

Hi,
Came across Next Corvette to Target Euro-Supercar Fans With Small, High-Revving Turbo V8 | TheDetroitBureau.com

Does anyone know anything more about this? Bought out engine from say Yamaha?

Regards

I had read somewhere that Ferrari are also thinking in similar lines. Ferrari engines usually have a smaller capacity than it rivals but are thinking of replacing its v8s with v6s that are turbo charged. Similarly v12s will give way to turbo charged v8s.

Not only Ferrari and CHevy, even BMW are doing the same with rumours going around that the next m3 will come with a v6 and not a v8.

Looks like everyone is trying to make there engines smaller. Heck even Formula 1 engines are set to shed a couple of cylinders!!
