Renault Saved Japan's Second Largest car maker

http://www.businessweek.com/autos/co...209_269926.htm

This article from Business week says that Renault was the company to save Nissan, the second largest Japanese car manufacturer from Going bankrupt. Is this true?

I am confused what Renault and Nissan both will do by entering at the same time.:WTF:
