2012 BMW 7 series facelift

Autocar India has just put up pictures of the 2012 BMW 7 series facelift. It looks pretty much the same, except for minor changes. It appears it will have LED's in the headlights. It may get the 8 speed automatic transmission which will be a dream! Pics below:

That is one mean looking beemer! BMW have pulled an Audi with the LED running lights and the twin kidney grille seems to be getting bigger every time. Al Capone would have approved!

Re: 2012 BMW 7 series facelift

A little off topic but am really glad ACI has given credit to Bimmerpost for the pictures.

Coming to the 7, I think the grill is the same size, any bigger and it might just start swallowing a few small cars in front . It will definitely have the 8 speed transmission, and also from a BMW Insider a lot of BMW Connected drive features, including internet on board and a lot of minor upgrades related to instrument cluster and airbags.

The biggest thing this car needs is Air Suspension, I do not know why BMW will not add it to the 7, when both A8 and the S-Class have it, and not to mention the 7 derived Ghost also has it, so the technology is there for BMW but wonder why they will not use it?

And for the Indian market they need to start CKD / SKD operations for this to get more competitive as do not forget this will be competing with the W222 S-Class and that will take the segment a league above as it always does.

Regards,
