Mr.Bean crashes his McLaren F1 Supercar in UK

Known for his amazing collection of cars. I guess he was still in the cloud for topping the "star in a reasonably priced car" couple of weeks ago

Peterborough and Stamford Hospitals Trust said Atkinson had been admitted and was in a stable condition following the crash, which happened close to Haddon, a village about 85 miles (137km) north of London.
Atkinson was driving his McLaren F1 supercar -- one of the world's fastest road cars -- when he crashed, striking a tree and a lamppost before the vehicle caught fire, authorities said,
Firefighters confirmed Atkinson was not trapped inside the car. Britain's Daily Mirror tabloid reported that the actor had walked from the vehicle and flagged down other motorists to help.
Cambridgeshire Police said Atkinson was given a routine breathalyzer test at the scene and would face no criminal charges.
The actor, a car enthusiast, appears in a series of motoring mishaps in his "Mr. Bean" series. He is shown in one program driving a Mini while seated on the vehicle's roof.

But I hate him for destroying the Mclaren F1 ...

This will be fixed. The car is designed to break up this way. A McLAren rep on BBC has mentioned it is not a write off.

Could the name of this Thread be changed to "Rowan Atkinson crashes his Mclaren F1" instead of "Mr.Bean crashes his Mclaren F1..." He does have a name you know!!

I think the name is just fine as "Mr. Bean crashes.." is insanely funnier than "Rowan Atkinson crashes.."

As Freddy said, we are just waiting for the hammer to fall.

As a car lover, I'm hoping this can be fixed and given back to Rowan Atkinson. The loss of another McLaren F1 would be very sad.

I am glad that he is safe, the day will come when he never rise from a crash.. we should rename this thread to Mr Bean car crashes

OMG! I just saw the episode of Top Gear with him as the guest yesterday, and then this thread today :O

Oh when i saw the episode of the Top Gear in which he talks about the Mclaren and the new movie Johny English 2 and the rolls royce phantom with a super engine (don't remember the specs now) I never thought this would ever happen.

Thank god for not making a James Dean out of him....

Sad to see Mclaren like that though... It was a car I thoroughly enjoyed driving (Oh no I was driving it on the NFS2 game)
