BMW's sense of humour

Who says that the Germans have no sense of humour? BMW has run a large ad in The Guardian today promoting its new SHEF technology, and inviting readers to check out a special website, www.anewwaytocook.co.uk. SHEF, or Satellite Hypersensitive Electromagnetic Foodration technology, enables drivers to link up their car's telecommunications system to their cooker at home, and heat up their dinner by remote control. This isn't quite as far-fetched as it sounds - BMW has been running a pilot project called Connected House, trialling in-car controls for a number of domestic functions but the company gave away that this story was an April Fool by offering exciting recipes such as Chicken a la M42 and Boeuf B493.

Previous BMW april 1 ads have been selling special air for the tyres, a car that can switch from left hand drive to right hand drive

Advantage India!! Cann the "SHEF" when you can have a real "CHEF" in your kitchen for a fraction of what this technology from BMW would potentially cost ya.

Good to know that BMW has a humorous side to themselves too...
