[PVS]

I could finally manage to take out some time on a Sunday after-noon and visit the LA Auto Show, that was held from November 18th to November 25th 2011 at the LA Convention Center. It was definitely worth a visit, and I came back impressed with the wide variety of cars on display at the auto show, and clicked quite a few pictures that I would like to share.

There were quite a lot of manufacturers out there, and I will try and share pictures of cars that have been newly introduced, or have had a facelift for 2012. Let's start:

HYUNDAI

Fresh for 2012, were the Veloster that boasts of 40 MPG Highway gas mileage:

AUDI

On display was the Audi e-Tron-Sypder: This one has a 387 HP engine, develops torque at 731 lb-feet, and can do a 0 to 60 mph in 4.4 seconds and has a range of 621 miles:



Also on display were the 'S' series: S-8 - 520 HP @5800 RPM, 479 lb-feet torque@1700, and 0 to 62.14 MPH at 4.2 seconds - this one has a twin-scroll turbo V8.


Also found the AUDI TT-RS:


LEXUS

Lexus unveiled its new LS 600 hL Hybrid - Its a 5.0 L - V8 - 438 HP and costs about $ 112250 (ex-showroom):




Also on display was the 2013 Lexus GS 350 - this is a 3.5 L - V6 - Direct Port Ignition - 0 - 60 MPH in 5.7 seconds - 306 HP engine/277 lb-feet of Torque:




LEXUS LFA 2012 Sports Car -




BMW

BMW had a couple of concepts, an electric, a new M-5 and a redesigned 740 Li on display.
Here is the BMW i-8 Concept


The i-3 Concept: - This is constructed with Advanced Carbon Fibre Reinforced Plastic to meet demands of sustainable and emission free mobility. This has a 100-mile driving range.

The new BMW Active-E electric car - available for $499 per month and does 0 - 60 MPH is 9 seconds:


The North American debut of the M-5: Twin Power Turbo V-8; 4.4 Liter 560HP; 0-60 MPH in 4.2 seconds; top speed of 155 MPH
