Well it's based on the fiesta platform so may as well test it with Fiesta panels. Take a look at the clearance the front and rear tracks. The car looks like on stilts. That's a giveaway.

The new renderings arent that different to ones we have been seeing, its mostly a change in color. Anyhow, if the real looks are in any way close to the ones shown in the green (above), then its all good bye to my Figo, and in comes the Ecosport.

The more I see it, the more I start liking this. Being a ford, ride and handling is a given, only areas where they can goof up is the pricing and ofcourse the quality of interiors.

Since you are overall ok with 2WD and effectively want a large hatch/ station wagon with high ground clearance, then why not consider the 4x2 Yeti? Its not that frighteningly expensive or anything given what it offers!
Also, maybe since the dawn of 2012 is breaking, perhaps you may want to wait 6 months for that Duster! But if you are waiting 6 months more then you might as well hang in there to buy the EcoSport.

I am very much waiting and hanging in there for the Ecosport. Given the choice between Duster and Ecosport,
I am very much tilted towards the Ford's offering, because of the driving dynamics and my prior Ford ownership.
