Clarkson on twitter?

This piece of news is strictly for Clarkson followers/fanboys.

I never thought it was going to happen anytime soon. Actually, I was always under the impression that twitter or any sort of social media is too complicated for Clarkson's understanding. But finally it seems Clarkson has succumbed and is now on twitter!

Here are the excerpts from his latest column in The Sun,

"After years of being bullied and mocked by friends, I decided to join Twitter. "Ooh, you'll have a billion followers in a week" everyone said. Well, its been a week and so far I have....wait for it...drum roll...none."

Now, you must be thinking there are trillions of Clarksons on twitter. But the one that matches the original account closely is this, https://twitter.com/#!/jcrclarksonesq

This account is being followed by Tom Ford, Richard Porter, Sniff Petrol and a couple of more TG guys.

The first few sarcastic tweets- I am tired; I am still tired; I had lunch etc., make me believe it's him only. And then there's his display picture...

There's also one other tweet where he mentions he's been to the ballet. I was just searching JeremyClarkson on twitter, and found a random tweet by some lad who mentions that his sister had just seen Clarkson at the ballet.

Anyway, I am following already. If you are an ardent fan of Clarkson and his wit, you can too. Otherwise, please neglect this.

Why apologise about creating this thread?

While I am not really a fanboy per se, I like Clarkson and I find his humour wicked. Typical public school stuff.
Nothing wrong with it.

Guess more of us need to be able to laugh at ourselves once in a while - which is why Clarkson and his ilk are required to balance things out a bit.

Not that, of course. I don't think I apologized for creating this thread, ever.

I said, this news is strictly for Clarkson followers and fan-boys. The reason behind is that I have been in many kinds of verbal duel with some of the guys here; guys who think Clarkson to be just-another-journalist. So, I didn't want them to bump onto me or reply with what's the big deal if he's on twitter and stuff. Just that. ;-)
