The facelift is due in India soon, however I doubt the 740d will come in as it is only available in the SWB version and in India you get only LWB. However they should perhaps get an updated version of the 30d engine as from the UK website the specs show it hits 0 to 100 in 6.2 seconds whereas the Indian version is a second slower. Even the XJ 3.0 diesel is quicker with a low 6 second timing.

I highly doubt the SQ5 will make it out way but if it does, it will be super !!

With the facelift the 8 speed will be introduced in the 7 which will reduce the 0-100 times a lot. I'm unsure if it already comes with the 258bhp updated diesel.

I spotted the Face lifted 7-series in front of my office a few days back. It looked as if the car was maintained badly but as it got closer, i could spot BMW's usual camouflage in black and white swirls on the bumpers and side skirts. The headlights were also in a darker shade and tail lights were covered with black tape.

I was quite surprised to see the facelift being tested in a city like ours. The roads are just worst around here. I think the face-lift is just around the corner, maybe during the festive season coming up in a month.

I was offered 10+ lakhs on the 2012 730Ld and if you wait till end of the year, you could stretch the discounts to 15 or above. I would love to buy the 7-series but i don't use a driver for my commute.
