Just to give you guys a fair-idea of what the new M4 will look like, here is a great render that I found in BimmerPost's Facebook page.

Looks interesting but lacks a little cohesiveness in form. The sharp front is predictable, but it doesn't gel well with softness that follows thereafter, especially the rounded Hofmeister kink.

I for one loved the aggressive looks of the current gen M3. The M4 design with it's softer looks doesn't really do justice to the M badge!

As the M4 will be based on the 4 coupe, will it look something like this ?

The NA V8 rumble is sadly just too hard to match from a turbo 6cyl. I am sure BMW will use fake sound annulation like they have done in the M5, that is just sooo wrong but I guess it's something we have to come to terms with.

In this segment personally I think the C63 AMG v8 rumble is the best followed by the RS5 and then the M3. This could change once the competition sadly gets on the 6cyl turbo bandwagon.

The c63 exhaust note is the most brutal & sporty at the same time.

The other option for an M3 to get that rumble in the exhaust sound would be to go for an aftermarket Eisenmann Exhaust

Afterall Eisenamann are the OE supplier to AMG

Re: The BMW M3 Coupe is dead. Say hello to the new M4!

Little more info about the M4 this time about the wheels & tires

The wheel designs can be seen clearly in this prototype, this being the front wheel shod with Michelin Pilot SuperSports (255/35/19)

Rear: 275/35/19;

Also check this pic of another rim design, these look like the optional 20"ers;

Re: The BMW M3 Coupe is dead. Say hello to the new M4!

As the thread title suggest the M3 coupe is dead, well now BMW have officially announced end of production as the last E92 M3 rolls out;

This possibly is the last time you will be seeing the M3 badging on the coupe (As M3 will be exclusive to the sedan only)

BMW tells TopGear that the upcoming M4 will focus on lightness and not power.

I am confused now. IS this the same M4 in the video? Concept is different in terms of the xenons.
