The 2014 Bentley Flying Spur, which was unveiled at the 2013 Geneva Motor in March, will be launched in India on October 1.



The new 2014 Bentley Flying Spur comes with an exterior styling that is basically an evolved version of the styling that we first saw on the new Continental GT and Continental GTC.

While the car sports a front end that is distinctively reminiscent of the last generation car’s front fascia, the rear end is where the car gets some drastic design changes. The rear end of the car is characterized by slimmer rear light units which lend the car a much sleeker look.
Further contributing towards a sleeker profile are the C pillars that have been thoroughly revised.

On the inside, the car seems to have got an all new interior setup. The new interior appears to be a much improved version of that on the current car. The new dashboard extends all the way in to the door cappings and the car gets a new steering wheel that is also seen in the Continental GT.

The 6.0-liter W12 Twin turbocharged motor that powers the new car has a max power output of 616 bhp @ 6,000 rpm and a peak torque rating of 800Nm from 2,000 rpm. The engine is mated to an all new ZF 8-speed automatic gearbox that shifts between the gears in 200 milliseconds! Power is sent to all four wheels and the car can dismiss 100kmph from standstill in 4.3 seconds and has a top whack of 322kmph.

Power comes from a 6.0-liter W12 TwinTurbocharged engine producing 616bhp and 800Nm of torque. A ZF 8-speed automatic transmission sends power to all four wheels. 0-100km/h takes 4.3 seconds while the top-speed is rated at 322km/h. Bentley says the Flying Spur will do 6.8km/l.
Bentley has priced the new Flying Spur at INR 3.1 crores ex-Showroom, Delhi.

It seems like IAB managed another scoop on the release details of the Mulsanne.
In an interview with Mr. Chris Buxton, Bentley’s Regional Manager for Middle East, Africa and India, the possible date for the launch in India is said to be as early as next year beginning.
